When the Gunflint Trail takes off up the hill from Grand Marais on Lake Superior’s shore, you might not want to carry too much with you up the continuous and steep 5 mile-long grade to reach the top (about an 800+ vertical foot gain) and the miles of country road beyond.

The Gunflint lets you take the essentials with you (and maybe more than just a few luxuries) without overloading your bike and its motor. It’s a great commuting pack, too, bringing functional wilderness design to urban trails.
