GET OUTFITTED
Tales from the trail
Have you ever noticed the brass rivets on your beloved Frost River pack? You’ve probably noticed the warmth of...
This has been my daily carry bag for the last three years. I absolutely love it. Perfect size, just enough pockets and compartments. I work in a business casual office and warehouse environment and it's put together without being too dressy or formal. The construction and materials have held up unbelievably well. Really can't recommend this bag enough. If you're on the fence just do it.
I was leaning towards NutSac (not saying there's anything wrong with them) before I found Frost River. I'm glad that I went with Frost River as the aesthetic suits me far better than any other I've found, and I've been looking for a "you get what you pay for" EDC/Work bag for some time. I have received quite a few compliments on it already. I have come to prefer the briefcase style over the flap of a traditional messenger. I'm already looking to add a haversack or sling type satchel to be used as a day bag to my collection; I will definitely be a returning customer of Frost River.
It looks like something taken out of an old movie, built to last, not to be replaced with time, but repaired. Nice!!
Exactly the size I was looking for. The quality and the appearance is outstanding. I especially like the leather bottom. Should hold up well.
I purchased the black version (Askov Finlayson collab) in 2017. It was used very ruggedly, flying around the USA weekly with me for a year before the handle started to separate from the body. Frost River took it back in 2018 for a repair and sent it back promptly with some new reinforcements. It is now 2023 and I still use this bag as my daily briefcase. The leather on the bottom is so soft and supple, I've never conditioned it. The leather is gorgeous and very good quality. It has a lot of space but not too much. It can hold a lot of weight and still feel comfortable. I've added a homemade Illinois shaped patch for my home state in black leather from the Redwing tannery. I plan to add another two customs state patches, one of Minnesota, which is where I lived when I got the bag (and discovered this brand), and the other of Maine, where I live now and continue to use this bag daily. These bags are made to last.
