Accessory Bag XP – Snap Expandable

The fourth new design to be rolled out in 2013 is the Accessory Bag  XP – Snap Expandable.  Snaps are what set these bags apart from the standard accessory bags.  A pair of brass snaps on the front and back of each of the three sizes of Accessory Bags XP allow for different configurations.  Snap your pencil case that holds your writing kit onto the bag that contains the toothbrush and shaving stuff.  Now your luggage can stay clutter free and organized.  Once you get back from a weekend’s travels snap off the toothbrush and shaving kit and attach the lunch and snacking bag that gets carried to work and back.

Modular and adaptable, this could be just what your kit needs in order to maintain order and evade the chaos of clutter.  Create separate kits then mix and match as your daily assignment dictates.  First-aid, cordage, toiletries, mess kit, fire and tinder, sharpening and blade maintenance, music, writing and art.– there are several different configurations, all can work together.    $14, $16, & $18 for Small, Medium, and Large.

Wallets

Lure Guard

We have offered our slim Leather Card Holder wallet for years.  It works great to dress up the presentation of business cards.  Some want more space in a wallet, we hadn’t decided on a design … until now.

Our third new design of 2013 is a Frost River wallet.

Bi-fold design, simple construction of waxed canvas and leather.  Leather on the outside, waxed canvas on the inside.  It is the best of both worlds.   It will hold cash and cards simply and reliably.  Likely to be too small of a wallet for Seinfeld’s buddy George… but maybe that’s a good thing, your hip and posture will thank you.

Frost River’s wallet is a bi-fold design. Three dividers on each side, main opening for cash. Leather exterior, waxed canvas on the inside, leather trim.

Dog Collar/Leash

Fly Rod Case

We are happy to offer a line of Dog Collar / Pet Leashes for our second of thirteen new designs for 2013.

We use a bunch of leather on our packs and bags.  It comes from the best American producers, and makes great collars and leashes.  Most of our leather comes from the tannery in Red Wing Minnesota that supplies Red Wing shoes with their boot leather.  It is great stuff.  Occasionally we get a request to make a collar for a dog, usually the answer is no problem, there are several dogs who visit the Frost River shop who wear custom built collars.  Duffer, Tico, Jack, and Pete all seem happy with their neckwear and some of their collars are as old as three years.  The harness leather is the same grade that we use on the backstraps of our canoe packs, it is heavy but pliable– robust and lithe.  It works great for backstraps and shoulder straps, it also works good for pet collars and leashes.  We cut the leashes to minimize flex in the grain and maximize strength and durability.  All of the hardware is solid brass, there is no plating to be worn off.  The rivets are strong and reliable.  The logo is burned into the leather. We are making three sizes for the collars.  The 13″ collar is 3/4′” wide and fits dogs with necks from 10″ to 16″.  The 16″ fits necks from 13″ to 19″ and is 1″ wide.  The 19″ collar is also a inch wide and works on necks from 16″ to 22″.  Measure your dog with a flexible measuring tape and measure for the narrowest part of their neck.  If you need some other size, give us a call, we can work something out for a custom collar.  There is something special about the feel of a leather leash, it can add an element of substance and nostalgia to having to take “Fluffer the wonder dog” out for a walk at 4 a.m… at least you get to use that great leash.

Pete pulls hard on a walk. He is part of the testing crew for our new 1″ leather leash. It has passed inspection. Connections are sewn and riveted

Lunch Tote

Northwoods Tarp

Starting small for our first of thirteen new designs of 2013, our Lunch Tote is the littlest offering in our line of tote bags.  It has a handle and a snap closure to keep contents inside.  The waxed canvas is specially treated by the manufacturer to keep stuff, like water, on the outside…. or on the inside if you had a lunchtime malfunction.  It could even be used as a bucket in a pinch as the waxed canvas will hold water for a little while.

The Frost River Lunch Tote– Simple, Little, Handy. $20

It is not bottomless, but it could work great to carry just a little lunch
