An Important Letter from our President and CEO, Christian Benson
Hello from Duluth, Minnesota,
The ice is nearly out of the lakes here in Northern Minnesota, and signs of spring are a truly welcome sight! Spring is a time of renewal and a chance to evaluate where we came from and what lies ahead. As I reflect on 2021, and cumulatively, the days since March of 2020, when the most globalized uncertainty of our generation descended upon the entire world, I need to recognize our customers and supporters of Frost River and offer a sincere thank you to you all. The support, encouragement, and dedication exhibited when our traditional business paused so we could manufacture masks and face shields was nothing short of overwhelming. We emerged with a grand reopening and our newly renovated storefront, signaling the next chapter of Frost River as we look to the future with a renewed sense of optimism.
The momentum of 2022 continues to grow, and as we assess our current business state, we cannot deny the mounting challenges of supply chain and logistics as a manufacturer. A price increase is necessary with the rising costs of our premium materials and a challenging labor market. We do not take this decision lightly but know that we must make adjustments to remain a competitive employer, use the finest US-sourced materials in our products, and choose sustainable business practices.
2022 is poised to be a great year, and I wish you happiness and good health for the season ahead. Make time to get outside, enjoy the fresh air, and utilize the outdoors to recharge and reconnect.
