Description

It sure was nice to see the headframe at the old Pioneer Mine and that beautiful trout the angler pulled out of Miner’s lake. Then when the sudden summer rains came, there are your shells, tucked in the frame. Our Trezona Trail Top Tube Bag allows you to securely stow gear inside the bike frame. Two sizes are available with universal leather and brass attachment straps to fit a variety of frames. Two compartments close with coil zippers with storm flaps to offer storage of flat items like a map and a wallet on one side, while higher volume gear can be stashed on the other (which utilizes the full volume of the bag. The Small Trezona will carry 5 12oz. cans (it’s up to the person packing to figure out what to do with the sixth…) the Large will hold 7 cans or equivalent other stuff. We make both sizes of Trezona Trail Top Tube Bike Bags at our shop in Duluth, Minnesota from 18oz. waxed canvas, with four leather straps that have solid brass “Sam Browne” posts for attachment to a bike.

The leather comes from Red Wing, Minnesota — it’s the good stuff. Waxed canvas works well for bike bags because it’s weather, mud and abrasion resistant. Generous storm flaps cover the zippers on both sides. The attachment points are well placed to make a secure connection that helps to avoid swaying of the bag, while free floating, adjustable and replaceable straps keep your options open. Frame bags are awesome because they center the weight in the middle of a bike and keep your profile narrow, which is handy when bike packing or riding single track.

This bag is as advertised. The two zipper pulls are at the rear of the bag when the zippers are closed. In this position, the zipper pulls rattle against the bicycle seat tube. This is slightly annoying, and does not diminish the function of the bag.

Damn good bag.

Like the other bags I've bought, this will out live me. It solved a big problem I had on bike trips. My cockpit is waaay too busy for a handle bar bag and this provides the extra room I need.
