Campfire Tent

The Campfire Tent is handmade and built to last for years to come. This item is made in the USA at Frost River.

Patterned after the old baker style cook tent, our Campfire tent is: white, roomy, canvas floored, screened in half, is habitable during all four seasons, has LOTS of ties (everywhere where there should be a tie... there is), durable, pitched solid once the guy lines are in place, tall at one end- short at the other, great in the late fall with the end cover attached and a fire going in a woodstove, reliable, made by Americans in Duluth, Minnesota... it's a great tent. Price is for the tent alone, if you have poles or wish to make them on site that's fine... but we don't include poles with the tents, we offer a Pole Package separately. The same for the EndCover, we are happy to make one for you, but we don't include it as standard equipment on each tent. Read up on how our Campfire Tent fared on a 2,000 kilometer expedition of the Yukon River in our Field Journal. Spoiler: Whether in sunny days, stormy nights, or amidst clouds of black flies, it's hard to beat the portable livability of this classic, well-built shelter! --Please Note-- These are completely made by hand and we currently build the tents, tarps, end covers, and lean-to's to order. When you get your new tent, set it up on a clean, protected spot. Make sure its right for you before you use it in the wilds. We won't accept a return of a dirty tent. Once you decide you love it, wet it down and let it completely dry to season the fabric and seams. It will be much more water-resistant once its been soaked and dried. Enjoy! There is something special about spending time in a canvas shelter, especially one with a woodstove.

The Frost River Campfire Tent is made by hand in Duluth and is full of features for comfortable back and front country living.

    Campfire tent

It's a genuine delight!!! Pitched it in the yard and left it up for 3 weeks here on the Carolina coast. A week of 15 to 20 NE wind and rain and all is well. Couple of drips at a needle hole or two, easy fix. You can buy a similar "30 second" setup tent but it will not look, feel, or even smell like this tent and if you bend a pole or tear a loop off this tent it can be repaired. Also has medicinal qualities...I think my blood pressure drops about 10 points just from lounging under the awning. Thank You Frost River!

We went with the 4 person tent because I needed to be able to stand up inside of the tent. It takes a little time to set it up but I think the more we do it the less it will take. We've taken it out one time and just love it. We didnt have any rain so I can't comment on the water resistance but I hope it will be good. Tent can be setup multiple ways but we like having the sides and top up because we can set all our gear in there without having to go in sleeping area. Very well made and I expect it will last a very long time.

I've used this tent 3 times now. I love it. One improvement would be shoulder straps on the stuff bag.

I have only had the opportunity to use this tent once since I purchased it and it is absolutely great. .There is not one things bad to say about this American made tent. The quality is always spot on for Frost River and looking forward to using it more. My winter camping trip is not far off and am going to use it. It would take a Jack Hammer to get the smile off my face and absolutely loving this purchase.
