Five Fantastic Spring Break Destinations

Need a Break From School?

Spring break can be a magical time for many students. From beach bums to ski bums, a much needed break is in store. With that comes the fun of traveling to exciting new destinations in hopes of exhilaration or relaxation. Trips like these with family and/or friends can be once-in-a-lifetime experiences that will be held deep in your memories forever.

Sometimes the hardest part of spring break is deciding where to go! Usually, planning is done well in advance, but for some, a last minute road trip is what brings the excitement to life! We appreciate both sides (the heavy planners and the spontaneous adventurists), but for the sake of this article, we are going to focus specifically on the spontaneous adventurists. If you are still looking for places to explore while you take a break from your studies, we have compiled a list of five best spring break destinations! This, obviously, is not a comprehensive list and is completely subjective. However, they are still fun places to visit!

Winter Park, Colorado

In Colorado, you get the best of both worlds. If you fly into Denver, you can enjoy mild temperatures and bustling city life. Driving west out of Denver on Highway 70, you quickly find yourself in the foothills of the Rocky Mountain Range. As you climb further up into the scenic mountains, the temperatures start to drop and the snow becomes more abundant. When you finally reach Winter Park, you are in a skier’s paradise! With world class downhill and cross country skiing options, it is nearly impossible to get bored in this beautiful area.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Hawaii

You really cannot get any better than Hawaii. It is as simple as that. From the incredible blue water to the life-giving green of the jungle, this relaxation destination is also home to some pretty cool adventures! Visit the incredible volcanoes and the beautiful white sand beaches. Make sure to check out the active lava flow in the dark as well! You won’t be disappointed!

Fort Myers, Florida

No, this is not just for retired people. Enjoy the beauty of pristine beaches and waving palm trees in this gorgeous corner of southwest Florida. Home to some of the best restaurants in Florida, this area is perfect for anyone looking to relax and eat like kings and queens! You can even catch a baseball game, as this is the home of many professional baseball teams for their spring training!
