I’m scared to buy anything these days because almost nothing works as advertised anymore, it’s expensive, and production quality and quality control are nearly non-existent. Plus, when you have a problem, you can’t reach anyone for help, and wind up sinking a bunch of time into getting your money back. Net loss. 😵💫
Frost River is the opposite of all that, and a total breath of fresh air. I ordered the explorer bag in carry-on size, and it is PERFECT. The construction quality, functionality, look, and feel are all way beyond expectation. Their “repair over replacement” ethos also aligns with their lifetime guarantee. This bag has a nice quality heft to it, and the canvas, leather, and brass appointments are sturdy and up for anything. It looks and feels like it will continue to get better, patina, etc. with time and use. You can quickly see and feel that it’s handmade. Hell, they might bury me with this thing.
Better than the bag, however, was the service - they made a personal call shortly after my purchase to say thanks and confirm my choices. The bag was thoughtfully packaged, and shipped quickly. They followed up once I received the bag, to make sure I was happy. That’s how service is done, plain and simple. Nothing complicated. Safe to say, my next bag will be a Frost River. Thanks y’all!
