The main compartment of the HillSider has twin zipper slides allowing for cross-body use if you choose to wear it over a shoulder. The front pocket is small and slim, perfect for stashing a granola bar or wallet for quick access on trail or while strolling around town. The durable cotton web waist-belt is 42in in length. The solid brass hardware allows for easy adjustability, and our brass G-hook makes for easy on and easy off.

Each bag in the collection is meticulously handmade by skilled tradespeople, using U.S. sourced materials, ensuring that the pieces of this collection truly reflect the essence of Minnesota's rich heritage and strong sense of community. The alluring design printed into the waxed canvas of the bags was designed by Leather Works Minnesota with the help of West St.Paul-based artist, Adam Brackney of Wrkmn. The state silhouette flips and turns throughout the design creating an artistic approach to the historical pattern of camouflage.

Samo Excellent Hillsider with Camo

Having had many hip-packs over the decades, I've become an expert on them & am still enjoying the regular tan Hillsider that has many years of use remaining. Because it's both compact & roomy, I've worn it every day for several years now.. I'd just cleaned & re-waxed it when I saw you had a few new camo versions, so nabbed one. It's identical to the well-constructed regular one but for the front panel's having multiple shapes of the state of MN in several colors cocked this way & that which comprise a unique camouflage pattern so subtle here in the South that no one's yet noticed it's Minnesota. Now I'm wearing it every day while the perfectly good tan one awaits its turn in a drawer. These & all FR products are thoughtfully designed & well-made from the finest Martinex waxed canvas, superb Red Wing leather trim & label, hardy woven cotton straps, durable YKK zippers, & solid brass hardware. Accordingly, I now have over 20 FR products.
